Bankers propose to simplify antifraud

by marusia

Banking market participants have criticized the bill on the creation of the Anti-Phishing and Anti-Fraud systems, which is being prepared for the first reading.

The document provides for a ban on any communication between bank representatives and clients in foreign messengers, the obligation of the bank to provide the ability to authenticate on the website or in the application through the Unified Biometric System, and a number of others. Experts draw attention to the redundancy of the requirements and doubt the capacity of state authentication systems.

The National Financial Market Council (NFMC) proposes to make significant changes to the draft law “On the creation of state information systems (GIS) to combat offenses … committed using information and telecommunication technologies …” being considered in the State Duma for the first reading.
