The volume-planning decision of the hotel
The volume-planning decision of the hotel allowed to maintain the surrounding landscape as much as possible and use the terrain relief. Rocks, chopping stones with separate groups of trees are organically included in the architectural and spatial composition of the structure. When planning the building, architects paid great attention to the fact that a picturesque view of the gorge or mountain peaks opened from most rooms. Thus, the balconies of residential numbers are focused on the gorges of Dombai – Ulgen and Alibek with their majestic peaks, a restaurant and foyer of the auditorium – on the Amanauz gorge with a top and a glacier of Sofruju.
The eight -story building has a sleeping part (6 floors) with 400 places with double and three -seater (due to two -tier bugs of the tourist class). Each residential number is equipped with a sanitary knot with a shower. In the first two floors, the public part, including the auditorium, restaurant, a fireplace hall with a bar, mail with an international telephone conversation, a tourism room, a room with individual cabinets for storing skis and shoes. On the eighth floor, at the level of the exploited flat roof protected from the snow with a high -removal canopy, there is a viewpoint, from which the magnificent panorama of the main Caucasian ridge opens. There is also a billiard room with a small bar. Local building materials are widely used in the hotel decoration – wood and natural stone, which further emphasizes the unity of the architectural image and the natural environment. Wooden elements on the facades are processed with a special composition that protects them from the effects of the atmosphere. Forging metal, ceramics, carpets made by Lithuanian artists were used to decorate the interiors. As the main supporting structure, a transverse N-shaped assembly reinforced concrete frame with hinged wall panels is used (the Central Research Institute of High-Resort Buildings was developed and has been developed by local industry).
