When laying heat and water supply systems according to standards, it becomes necessary to isolate the pipeline in order to minimize heat loss into the atmosphere, reduce condensate on the surface of the pipe.
How to carry out isolation
To fulfill technical requirements, you need to isolate each type of pipes. Only in the presence of an insulating casing, the loss of heat and energy will be reduced. In order to carry out insulation, you can use different materials. At the same time, it is worth choosing the one whose effectiveness will be higher. Modern materials have good insulating qualities, for example, cotton wool made of mineral fiber.
At the moment, this is the most effective insulation material in its qualities. Mineral fiber holds heat well and does not allow moisture to the surface of the pipes. In addition, cotton wool prevents the formation of condensate on the surface of the water supply and ducts, provides additional soundproofing.
For convenient fastening of the material on pipes, you should use insulation, which is previously formed in the cylinder. ISOTEC cylinders are used for simplified installation of insulating material.
Advantages of mineral wool insulation
This insulating material is made of mineral wool based on basalt fiber. Before purchasing, it is possible to choose the type of cylinder – a navigable or rifle. For ease of installation on the cylinder, there is a longitudinal incision. The advantages of any type of insulation cylinders include:
simplicity and high installation speed;
excellent thermal insulation properties;
Convenient storage and transportation – cylinders are supplied packaged in boxes;
high mechanical strength – damaging the insulation layer is not as easy as it seems at first glance.
The product is resistant to high temperatures, not fuel. Fire safety certification has passed. For additional isolation, it can be wrapped in a foil or metallized layer. After fastening, the longitudinal incision is closed.
Basalt wool insulation is also used when laying pipelines underground. There, Mineral wool cylinders with a metallized upper layer can be laid in trenches without creating special pillows and water -repellent insulation, since the material itself repels water, preventing it from penetrating the pipes.
