Novelty in the market of finishing materials
The novelty in the market of finishing materials – the energy -saving ceramic granite of the new generation ECO ++ – was able to see the light thanks to the research of the company Soy. The main idea was the use of processed glass as an energy -saving component. Also, the direct advantage of using glass waste will be a decrease in the total amount of natural source material used.
The new ECO ++ porcelain tile is firing at a temperature of less than 100 ° C, unlike ordinary porcelain tiles certified by the Bologna Centro Ceramico.
The most optimal type of processed glass, ensuring environmental safety and international environmental standards, was called glass for electron beam tubes, with a thickness of 1 to 2 cm. This type of glass has a homogeneous structure, devoid of all sorts of impurities, and over time completely does not change its composition.
In the production of a new type of material, energy savings were achieved in 30%. This was made possible thanks to the balancing of the glass and clay components, as well as the firing of the material at lower temperatures. The resulting new generation porcelain tile corresponds to all the characteristics of Ecolabel. And, moreover, it is characterized by high aesthetic qualities due to the fact that the basis of the new ECO ++ is bright, and this, in turn, makes it possible to increase the brightness of tile colors and give it an exceptional appearance.
The main advantages of the novelty are energy savings, increased environmental safety, winning by the mass by 12%, reduction of CO2 emissions and many others.
