Warm house: reliably and durable

If you are building a house in which an autonomous heating system is designed (it can be diesel, gas or electric), an important question arises: where to buy a coolant for heating and how to choose it correctly? You can do with water. However, with all the advantages, such a natural coolant has disadvantages that can lead to equipment breakdown. The first – in the case of freezing it in the system, damage to pipelines and pumps is possible: after all, water expands when freezing. Second – almost inevitably forms an scale on the walls of equipment. If you decide to buy a synthetic coolant for heating, you are again faced with a choice. The advantages of such a coolant are obvious: it does not freeze, has lubricating and anti -corrosion properties, its use allows you to prevent (and remove) the deposition of salts and the appearance of scale. It becomes possible to save fuel and electricity – after all, even in winter heating can be turned off for a long time without prejudice to the system. Modern coolants (antifreeze) begin to freeze at a temperature of -30 to -65 degrees Celsius. Question: how the antifreeze you have chosen is made, how safe it is for a person and how much does it cost. So, if you want to buy a heating coolant made using ethylene glycol, remember: it is dangerous when it enters the digestive system. However, you can buy it relatively inexpensive, it is available to almost everyone. It is only necessary to observe safety precautions when using it, and such a coolant will not cause you trouble. If you are interested in the safety of the coolant when it enters the body, that is, propylene glycole coolant. In small concentrations to poisoning, it will not lead. Its drawback is only a very high price.
