Cosmetic repair.
Cosmetic repair is one of the varieties of repair work. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it implies a more limited amount of work, small financial costs, as well as lower (compared to overhaul) terms.
When determining the volume of construction work, it must be remembered that the overhaul does not imply any redevelopment or large -scale plumbing works (for example, pipe replacements). Ceiling, flooring, walls are subject to updating during such repairs, and if desired, you can change the location of the furniture.
As a rule, the greatest efforts are required during the repair work in the kitchen and in the bathroom, since tiles are used in these rooms as a finish, the replacement of which is a longer and laborious process than simple wallpaper gluing. If desired, in the process of cosmetic repair, you can change the location or number of sockets and switches. The first stage of repair work is the preparation of surfaces: the ceiling is cleaned and freed from the old finishing material, and the walls from the old wallpaper. If necessary, both the ceiling and walls can be leveled using special mixtures. As for the walls, before gluing new wallpapers, they are primed and treated with antiseptic agents. The final stage is the update of the flooring. This stage also provides for the preliminary preparation of the surface, which is carried out in accordance with what kind of finishing material will be used.
Since cosmetic repairs are not particularly difficult, there is no need to attract a repair team – almost all work can be done independently.
